Did you know that Eid ul-Fitr is a holiday that follows the fasting month of Ramadan (the tenth month on the Islamic calendar beginning at the sight of the new moon). Fasting is forbidden on this day (falling in November this year) and women and children are normally given presents or money by their loved ones.
